The fork is brand new but an older model.. It is very similar to X-Fusion’s current Velvet fork. It has the same RL2 damper and C-Clip travel adjustment. Don’t let the price fool you. This is a high performance, light weight cross country fork.
The fork features an air spring, 32mm anodized aluminum stanchions, lock-out, rebound adjustment, aluminum steer tube, cast magnesium lowers and weighs 4.0 pounds.
This fork retailed for 5. You are getting a 5 fork at a huge discount. The X-Fusion Velvet retails for 9 and this fork is VERY similar. The only difference is a subtle difference in the shape of the magnesium lowers. The weight is the same. The performance is the same. The durability is the same.
This is a much better fork than the entry level offerings by Rockshox like the 30 Silver or Recon Silver as they have heavy steel springs and heavy steel stanchions with nickle plating. The Enix has an air spring which is much lighter and more adjustable. The Enix's black anodized aluminum stanchions are much lighter, stronger and smoother than nickle plated steel.
Note: This fork is only compatible with 26" wheels. It is NOT compatible with any larger wheels. It is not compatible with 27.5" wheels.
